The short version: All of these controls live inside the Bivryn app. Your biological data is stored on your iPhone (and optionally synced to your private iCloud). We never hold a copy on our servers. Open Bivryn → Profile → Privacy to take any of the actions below.
Inside the app, every category of data Bivryn holds is browsable:
Every screen that displays data also lets you edit it:
HealthKit data (sleep, HRV, heart rate, etc.) is owned by Apple Health, not Bivryn. To change those values, edit them inside the Health app. Changes will reflect in Bivryn on the next refresh.
You can take a full copy of everything Bivryn has stored locally as a JSON archive at any time:
The archive contains: profile fields, all logs, all blood-work panels and markers, family history, conditions, reset sessions, experiments, triggers, discoveries cache, and Body Memory chapters. HealthKit raw samples are not included (they live in Apple Health — export them from Health → your profile → Export All Health Data).
One tap, full local wipe — no servers to talk to because we don't hold a copy:
All local SwiftData rows are deleted: profile, logs, blood work, family history, conditions, reset sessions, experiments, triggers, discoveries, Body Memory, cached interpretations. Done.
If you had iCloud sync turned on, you may also want to remove Bivryn's residual iCloud storage from iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Bivryn.
To delete the app itself, long-press the Bivryn icon on your home screen → Remove App → Delete App. Removing the app removes anything that wasn't already wiped.
When Bivryn generates a Body State, Discovery, or answer via Ask Bivryn, it calls Anthropic's Claude API through our backend proxy. We send only the minimum context needed (e.g., "sleep 6h 20m, HRV 38 ms below baseline") with no name, email, or identifier that ties the request to you. Anthropic does not use commercial API content to train their models.
To disable AI generation entirely, cancel your subscription. Previously cached interpretations remain visible; no new ones will be generated.
Bivryn uses PostHog to collect non-personal product-usage events (e.g., "user completed a breathing session"). No health data, no PII. Opt out anytime:
You can revoke any HealthKit permission at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Bivryn. Without sleep/HRV/heart rate access, Bivryn can't build your body state — the app will show an editorial empty state explaining what it needs.
iOS Settings → Notifications → Bivryn. You can turn off the morning briefing, post-meal walk reminder, or any other notification individually.
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Bivryn. Location is optional and only used for travel detection (cell-tower-level, no GPS). Coordinates never leave your device.
Bivryn never shares your data with anyone unless you explicitly initiate it. Three paths exist for sharing:
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
Existing shared summaries on Apple's iCloud servers age out per Apple's iCloud retention policy after the connection is removed. If you also want to force-purge Bivryn's residual iCloud storage, use iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Bivryn.
Bivryn is not intended for users under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, please use Bivryn only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
If you have a data request we can't fulfill through the in-app controls, or you want a manual review of any data we hold (analytics events, subscription receipts), reach us at @SaySereze on X. We respond within a business day.
